Deborah Bateman epitomizes achievement, determination and kindness, professionally and personally. “I encourage persons. I coach and mentor, to really dig deep and find out who they are,” Bateman says. “Not who your parents wanted you to be, not who your friends think you should be. But really and truly who you are. To have that target design of knowing ourselves and our purpose is absolutely paramount. Too many people – men and women – are a result of being who someone else has asked them to be.”
Deborah serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for National Bank of Arizona. Deborah is involved with the ongoing development of the bank, with a focus on the bank’s impact and engagement in Arizona communities. A veteran banker, Deborah’s career has spanned leadership capacities in many areas of banking. Deborah is a graduate of Mesa Community College, Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington, and Darden’s Leadership Development Program at the University of Virginia.
An active member of the community, Deborah currently serves on numerous Board of Directors. Her commitment and involvement in the community has garnered numerous recognition and awards.
Based on her expansive financial services career, philanthropic activities, and as the co-author of Succeeding Through Doubt, Fear, and Crisis, and “Help, I’m Moving Out on My Own,” Deborah is a frequent featured speaker at seminars, meetings and conferences across the U.S.
