Amplifying Her Voice Featured Speaker: Sheryl M. Robinson

We are so fortunate to have an abundance of amazing women speaking at next week’s Amplifying Her Voice “In Moms We Trust” Mother’s Day Summit. Sheryl M. Robinson will speak on a panel about health and wellness. Robinson is a podcaster, coach, and speaker with a passion for helping teens and young adults discover their unique gifts, talents, and abilities and plan for the future. She hosts Sensory Strides, sharing life experiences in less than five minutes; and Hearts of Gold, (also on YouTube) showcasing young women across the nation who have earned the Gold Award, the highest honor for the Girl Scouts of the USA.

In our Q&A Robinson discusses helping others and the importance of asking for help, finding and following your passion, and more.

What most drives and motivates you each day?

Supporting others and helping them reach their dreams.

What cause, company, group, or movement are you a part of that you would like to share with us?

My day job is with a Community Health Center and I love being able to make sure everyone is able to receive the healthcare they need regardless of cost. My personal time is filled with Girl Scouts, empowering young women and preparing them for amazing futures.

What is something you would like to share with the next generation?

Know what your passions are and make sure to incorporate that in whatever you do. It gives you more energy and helps you continue through challenges. Your passion doesn’t have to be primary, but should be an important piece of the picture.

What do you think is the most important thing for women to keep in mind in terms of caring for themselves?

Make sure to fill your needs, make sure work you are passionate about is included in your day to day. If we don’t take care of ourselves we can’t take care of others.

What advice would you like to share with girls and women looking to achieve their dreams and lift up one another?

Ask for support from those that have skills or ideas that can help you achieve your dreams. Find new connections to support pieces you need assistance with. Don’t be afraid to ask.
If the answer is no, you haven’t lost anything.

We’re thankful to have Robinson supporting young women, in their journeys, and for the insight and wisdom she’s bringing to our summit. Register for the Amplifying Her Voice “In Moms We Trust” Summit today to hear from her and other amazing women from around the world!
